On Train Ltd are installing Cab Air Conditioning to Northern Class 769 Units for the 2023 Season
Following year on year record high temperatures the powerful equipment will ensure a cool and comfortable driving environment
Featuring PLC control the next generation of DC Airco equipment is able to provide cooling to both cabs simultaneously, offering comfort to both the driver and the train crew, the equipment also provides an automatic mode moderating fan speed as the cab temperature is reduced.
Maintenance
Since 2018 On Train have performed projects to maintain DC Airco equipment on Class 323 Cab for West Midlands Trains, Class 158 for Transport for Wales, Class 317 for Greater Anglia (until the withdrawal of 317 from service) and Class 456 for South West Trains.
New Installations
In 2021 On Train installed Cab AC to TFW Class 769 and in 2022 to Great Northern Class 769 and are now installing the same PLC controlled equipment to the Northern Trains Class 769 fleet.
